By the by, (I think), while on this topic, there is one (or more) relevant things that you do, that you mentioned elsewhere, that is not mentioned here.
If I recall correctly, (firstly) it has something to do with not buying a gadget etc till the technology matures, and (secondly) till you see a need for it. Or, perhaps, a pressing need for it that cannot be met in any other way.
Also, about downsizing etc .
I cannot recall the exact post or posts, but it is something I recall.
