Poor rat! Relocating a wild animal is a death sentence. Rats live in packs and cannot survive alone. Would you survive if random alien trapped you and dropped you in some forest? You would either have to fight locals in the forest (and possibly die), try to find you way home (and surely die during this dangerous journey) or stay alone and die. Sad and cruel!

Perhaps there are no 'right answers', or universally acceptable answers.
