36 is impressive, for the first ride of a season. On a separate note, possibly you mean 'West' when writing about OIiver and the (second mention of the) Old Military Road ?
I live on a different continent. I like to refer to Google Maps.
You are right Sekhar, it should be West in that second mention. The nice thing about my typing these pages on a manual typewriter is that they are pretty much a straight brain-to-paper experience. The downside is that faithful readers like you have to parse through my typos, missed words, typos and mistakes. It is all kind of a first draft experience & I sure appreciate the feedback.
At some point I may be reworking some of these writings (and other pieces from my old blog posts) into a more polished form and I could use some good beta readers. If you (or any of my other readers here) are interested in helping me proofread some things sometime, send an email to kentsbike@gmail.com with the subject line "BETA READER". I won't spam you, but you may get a preview of some longer things I'm working on.
Regarding downside - the overall result is upside, by far. So quite OK there. Actually, much more than than OK.
About the typewriter being 'brain to paper' (a nice phrase, by the by), true. One used typewriters quite a lot in a few decades ago. Pity that they are no longer being made.
OK about the Beta reading. Will send an email. Thanks.
36! Getting those riding muscles back!
