  1. I am a big fan of LFLs too! They play a role in my eventually-forthcoming novel.

How interesting that someone bothered to burn one down; that is a perverse tribute to the power of something so simple. And how gratifying that that mean act led to more LFLs.

  2. Off Topic : One was somewhat surprised to see an aluminum frame bicycle in the pictures. One would be happy to know your opinion about aluminum frames for bicycles, as opposed to steel frames (which seems to be a never-ending discussion).

No discussion intended, one would be grateful to know your opinion on the subject.

  3. Sekhar, over the years most of my bikes have been steel and three of my four current bikes are steel. I, however, have no complaints about aluminum, Christine and I both have Trek Allants which have aluminum frames and steel forks and we have logged loads of miles on them. If you go to Kent's Bike Blog and search for "Allant", you will find a lot more on my opinion of them. The Allant happens to be the one 700c wheeled bicycle that I own at the moment and only own studded tires in the 700c size, so it is the bike I'll be riding in the winter. Also the aluminum frame better stands up to the road salt than a steel frame would.
