Surely, if all scripture is 'God breathed' taking parts of it away will not help understanding. As for radical ideas, another, among many from Jesus, would have to be the resurrection of the dead.
I believe in eternal life as Jesus taught, but does it matter if there is no such thing? A decent mortal life does matter, I suppose Vonnegut and Tolstoy would think.
