I saw Townes play countless times back when I was living in Texas. Some shows were absolutely amazing, while others were sadly tragic. Townes was an incredibly talented songwriter with a very tortured soul. He is missed.
A highlight was hanging out at the bar in Gruene Hall talking with Townes and Guy Clark before the two of them performed there later that night.
